CREAM CHEESE BUNS

I always love to eat bread or cake for my breakfast, sometimes I eat also for my dinner or my afternoon tea time. Bread is something you can eat anytime you want, that’s why I always made and have bread at home. And this Cream cheese buns recipe is one of my favorite bread. It’s easy to make yet delicious. I only add margarine or butter inside and the taste already more delicious.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR MAKING THIS BUNS

  • Cream Cheese
  • Caster sugar or granulated sugar
  • Fresh milk
  • Egg
  • All purpose flour or bread flour
  • Salt
  • Instant dry yeast
  • Salted or unsalted butter

HOW TO MAKE CREAM CHEESE BUNS :

Prepare the dough : In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese and sugar with spatula until well combined

Add in fresh milk and egg and mix well with the whisk

Add in the flour, salt and instant dry yeast. Mix well with spatula until you get the form of the dough.

Cover the bowl with kitchen towel and let it rest for 20 minutes.

Knead the dough : After 20 minutes, add in the butter and mix well with your hand. Then transfer the dough on the silicone mat and knead the dough about 10 minutes or until smooth. If your dough is sticky, add some flour on your dough to handle that sticky dough.

Make the dough into a ball and transfer into a bowl and cover with kitchen towel. Let it rest and rise for 1 hour.

After 1 hour, open your kitchen towel and punch the dough to remove the air bubbles.

Transfer the dough on the silicone mat and flatten the dough. Divide the dough into 9 pieces.

Form every dough into a ball and cover with kitchen towel. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, open the kitchen towel. Press and knead the dough and make it into a ball again.

Replace the dough into 22x22x7 cm or 9×9 inches prepared baking pan. Cover the baking pan with kitchen towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, open the kitchen towel and sprinkle the dough with bread crumbs or you can replace with flour instead of bread crumbs.

Preheat your oven 180 degrees C or 350 degrees F and bake the dough for 30 minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 60 gram (1/2 cup) Cream cheese room temperature
  • 50 gram (1/4 cup) Caster sugar
  • 250 ml (1 cup) Fresh milk room temperature
  • 1 Egg room temperature
  • 406 grams (3 1/4 cups) All purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 7 gram (2 tsp) Instant dry yeast
  • 70 gram (1/3 cup) Butter
  • Bread crumbs for sprinkle

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the dough : In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese and sugar with spatula until well combined.
  • Add in fresh milk and egg and mix well with the whisk
  • Add in the flour, salt and instant dry yeast. Mix well with spatula until you get the form of the dough. Cover the bowl with kitchen towel and let it rest for 20 minutes.

  • After baking, take out the buns from the baking pan and let it cool on the cooling rack.
  • After completely cool, enjoy the bread!!
